Who we are

Optofolio is a wealth management platform that allows financial institutions to generate optimal portfolios for different risk profiles and offer friendly robo-advisory services to their clients.
Optofolio started as a product inside Optomatica and was spun off in March 2021 as a separate joint venture company with DFin Holding.

Dr. Mohammed El-Beltagy

Founder & Chairman

CEO and Founder of Optomatica, a deep-tech software consulting company specializing in A.I., Machine Learning & Optimization. Dr. El-Beltagy has 14 international patents, developed optimization methodologies that contributed to the design of the Airbus A380, helped to optimize operations of several Fortune 50 companies. He co-founded Hive Streaming, a Stockholm based corporate live Streaming company. Dr. El-Beltagy lectured on Computational Intelligence, Game Theory, and Optimization at Cairo University as Professor of Operations Research for over 13 years.

Dr. Shehab Marzban

Co-Founder & Board Member

CEO and Founder of DFin – Digital Finance Holding, and has been Chairman and Initiator of Egypt Ventures as well as Deputy Minister and Chief Advisor to the Minister of Investment and International Cooperation in Egypt. He co-founded various startups including Shekra and IdealRatings. Shehab was a visiting professor at IMD Business School, Zayed University, and Durham University among others. He received his PhD in Portfolio Optimization from the School of Economics at the University of Cologne in Germany, resulting in various publications in several international journals and conferences.

Mohamed Ragaa is a seasoned financial professional with over 15 years of experience in equity sales and trading. He made a mark at prestigious institutions like HC Securities & Investment and Arab Finance, skillfully managing portfolios valued at EGP 100 million. Mohamed is also the co-founder of Abgad, a fintech platform reshaping financial education, Mohamed is our Chief Business Officer at Optofolio, he leads the charge in developing and implementing innovative strategies, driving growth, and shaping the future of financial technology. His expertise and innovative leadership have left a lasting impact on the finance

Mohamed Rafea

Co-Founder & CEO

Mohamed is a Co-Founder of Bey2ollak.com. Under his leadership of Bey2ollak.com, it reached more than one million registered users and was recognized as the best app in Egypt in 2015. In 2017 Mohamed joined Optomatica as a Senior Consultant & Fintech Products Strategist. Prior to founding Bey2ollak, he had over 7 years of experience in the IT sector where he has been exposed to a wide range of projects and clients in his posts in IBM, ITWorx and Infinity. Mohamed has a BSc in computer science and a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from The American University in Cairo (AUC). Mohamed is an alumnus of the esteemed Endeavor network, after being selected as one of the high-impact entrepreneurs in emerging markets. He was also awarded the Distinguished Young Alumni Award from AUC in May 2015.
